Northcentral University (NCU), a global online graduate school, announced today that the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has acknowledged that its Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management fully aligns with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates.

Throughout the world, 308 programs in 232 educational institutions have been acknowledged by SHRM as being in alignment with its suggested guides and templates. The HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates were developed by SHRM to define the minimum HR content areas that should be studied by HR students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The guidelines -- created in 2006 and revalidated in 2010 and 2013 -- are part of SHRM’s Academic Initiative to define HR education standards taught in university business schools and help universities develop degree programs that follow these standards.

“SHRM takes a very methodical approach to course learning and outcomes, ensuring that the solutions and strategies we deliver to our students prepare them for the HR challenges that they will encounter in real-world situations,” relates Dr. Beverly Carolann Muhammad, Director of Curriculum Development for Northcentral’s School of Business and Technology Management. Both NCU’s Master’s and Bachelor’s programs in HR are now recognized by SHRM,” adds Muhammad.

NCU’s BBA in HR Management degree will now be listed in the SHRM HR Program Directory, to which more than 250,000 members in over 140 countries have access.
