BraunAbility Introduces New Quiet Drive Technology on Accessible Vehicles

BraunAbility, the leading manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vehicles, announced today a “quiet” technology that will become a standard improvement on all new BraunAbility wheelchair vans.

Winamac, Indiana (PRWEB) February 20, 2013

BraunAbility, the leading manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vehicles, announced today a “quiet” technology that will become a standard improvement on all new BraunAbility wheelchair vans.

The Quiet Drive technology, exclusive to BraunAbility, reduces noise and vibration in lowered-floor accessible vehicles by up to 25%, resulting in a more comfortable mobility experience.

BraunAbility engineers have spent the past two years researching acoustic improvements and refining solutions at the advanced engineering facilities of Chrysler and Ford. Using noise-blocking seals and high-performance noise-absorbing materials, the new technology stops sound before it enters the cabin.

“Accessible transportation shouldn’t come at the expense of a quiet ride,” said Nick Gutwein, President of BraunAbility. “This technology will make the mobility experience more enjoyable for our customers, and that’s what they deserve.”

The improvements will now be standard on all new BraunAbility conversions on the Chrysler, Dodge, Honda and Toyota accessible minivans.

Retail customers can test drive a BraunAbility accessible vehicle with the Quiet Drive technology at one of the over 200 BraunAbility dealers across the country.

About Braun Corporation
Braun Corporation is the largest manufacturer of wheelchair accessible vans, ramps, and wheelchair lifts worldwide and enables people with physical disabilities to regain mobility and lead active and independent lives. The Indiana-based company was founded by Ralph Braun, who was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy at a young age and unable to walk by age 15. Ralph was motivated by his disability to invent the world’s first electric scooter (the Tri-Wheeler) and wheelchair lift (the Lift-A-Way) in his parents’ garage. Word spread and demand for the product increased, resulting in the birth of Save-A-Step Manufacturing, which ultimately became Braun Corporation. The company offers the most diverse line of vehicle platforms in the industry, including the most popular minivan models from Dodge/Chrysler, Honda, and Toyota.
