SF Cable, a secure online retailer of computer cables at wholesale prices, announces new product lines that will help improve the look of your home or office. The company's CAT6 550Mhz Flat Patch Cables fit easily between cramped spaces, improving the look of your home or office because they are flat and easy to hide. These flat cables are a perfect fit under carpets, up walls, and even behind furniture. The cables measure a slim 1.2mm thick, leaving plenty of ventilation room for network rack wiring. The thin cables offer a great advantage over fat cables that add more bulk to your workspace.
Why are these SF Cable products better than anyone else’s?
SF Cable patch cables are made of 100% bare copper wire and 50 micron gold plated RJ45 plugs. Why 50 microns? The contacts of RJ45 plugs used for Ethernet cables are gold plated to maintain optimum conductivity with RJ45 jacks (receptacles). There are several different gold plating thicknesses available on the market. The lowest grade is called flash gold, and the thickness is a mere 3 to 6 microns. The highest is 50 microns. The different thicknesses affect how the plugs endure over time. The contacts of RJ45 plugs are exposed to moisture in the air that causes corrosion on metal surfaces. Gold is well known as a highly conductive and non-corrosive material. Thicker gold plating better protects contact material from corrosion (thus it keeps Ethernet connection speeds stable) for longer periods of time. Especially when the patch cable is used in high humidity or polluted air environments, 50 micron gold plating is recommended. SF Cable does not use CCA (aluminum wire). Our Enhanced Cat6 550Mhz Snagless Patch Cables will handle bandwidth intensive applications up to 550 Mhz and beyond.
The CAT6 500Mhz Flat Patch Cables are designed for Network Adapters, Hubs, Switches, Routers, DSL/Cable Modems, Patch Panels and other Computer Networking applications.
