Speaking at one of FDU's alumni chapter networking meetings, Andy O’Connor, President of A.J. O'Connor Associates (AJO) set the stage by outlining AJO’s leadership development and career transition work with stories and examples of the key areas of development in which AJO supports its client organizations today. Andy also shared his personal career journey from law enforcement to human resource consulting when he took the helm of, and expanded the capabilities of the career transition business started by his father thirty years ago.
What are the top six things you can do to proactively manage your career?
Andy O’Connor suggested, “Invest time and energy in thinking about your career goals and next steps and the technical and leadership skills needed to get you there. It will provide you a roadmap to evaluate opportunities.”
“Networking and building meaningful relationships are both key factors for success in business today,” added Teresa LeDonne, President of the E-MBA & MBA Alumni Chapter at Fairleigh Dickinson University. “Through the alumni chapter hosted events, our intent is to create more of these opportunities for our alumni.”
