We are thrilled to now offer the world-renowned services of our brand to buyers and sellers of fine property in this destination resort market

GREAT BARRINGTON, MA (PRWEB) February 22, 2013

William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, Connecticut’s premier residential real estate brokerage firm, has opened a new office in Southern Berkshire County, Massachusetts, executives of the company announced today. The opening of the office in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, marks the first time Sotheby’s International Realty®’s luxury real estate services will be available in the Berkshires.

“We are thrilled to now offer the world-renowned services of our brand to buyers and sellers of fine property in this destination resort market,” said Paul E. Breunich, President and Chief Executive Officer of William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, Litchfield Hills Sotheby’s International Realty and Julia B. Fee Sotheby’s International Realty. “Those interested in purchasing or selling in this beautiful region of the Northeast will be able to experience all of the unique benefits that our brand has to offer, including our sophisticated marketing, the expertise of our sales agents and the strength of our global affiliate network.”

The office is located at 308 Main Street in Great Barrington, a town that is considered one of the area’s main cultural hubs. The manager of the new office will be Carolyn Fugere, who also manages partner firm Litchfield Hills Sotheby’s International Realty’s four offices in Litchfield County, Connecticut. She will lead a team of six full-time agents.

“We’ve put together a true dream team of sales professionals to work out of our office, each with deep knowledge and extensive experience in the Berkshires region,” said Fugere. “We are very excited to launch our presence right in the heart of everything this wonderful region has to offer, and look forward to providing our services to clients in this premier market.”

The firm said that its decision to expand its presence into the Berkshires was based on a number of key factors, including the area’s longstanding reputation as a highly sought-after second home market known for its numerous year-round recreational and cultural attractions as well as its pastoral environment of rolling hills and mountains, rivers and lakes, and state forest land and hiking trails. The firm was also drawn to the Berkshires for its close proximity to Litchfield Hills Sotheby’s International Realty’s business in Litchfield County, Connecticut, and its accessibility to the strong base of clients the company works with in Connecticut and New York.

Great Barrington was recently named one of America’s Twenty Best Places to Live by Smithsonian Magazine, and is near many of the Berkshires’ famed attractions. These include Tanglewood Music Center, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Shakespeare & Company theatre, Ski Butternut and other resorts, as well as the area’s numerous art museums, historic estates, restaurants and boutique shopping.
