Tennis teaching professionals as well as tennis enthusiasts are invited. Featured speakers include USC Tennis Coach Peter Smith, 8Board inventor Jack Broudy, USD Coach Brett Masi, Polish Davis Cup player Marcin Rozpedski, and local pro Angel Lopez.
Eight speakers will provide educational presentations during the day starting at 8:00 a.m. Educational credit will be provided for the presentations for tennis pros that have Accredited Professional Coach designation. Exhibits will also be on display from Head Racquets, OnLessons and the Infinity 8Board, Core Swing Trainer. The 8Board is a unique device to assist tennis professionals with teaching students balance and fluidity for all the strokes in tennis. Says 8Board owner Jack Broudy “We’re looking forward to introducing many USPTA teaching pros to the future of education in our sport. Anyone serious about playing or teaching tennis won’t want to miss this event.”
An Awards Luncheon will also be held that day from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. The awards luncheon is included in the cost of the convention. Costs for the convention are $70 for USPTA members and $90 for non-members.
