The World Education Games will begin March 4th, 2013 and last for 4 days. With over 7 million children expected to participate it is on track to set the World Record for the largest online educational event.
The World Education Games are a free global online event powered by Mathletics, Spellodrome and IntroScience and held annually. Split over three days and focusing on literacy, mathematics and science, the World Education Games are an exciting and engaging way to promote learning and education across the world. This year UNICEFF has joined the efforts by aiming to bring education to 100,000 young people in disaster and poverty-stricken areas.
“Our goal was to create an event that got all students (4-18 years of age) excited about learning,” commented 3PLearning Founder Matthew Sandblom. “By giving students everywhere an opportunity to see how they measure up against the best in the world, we create a learning atmosphere that is fun and competitive.” Last year, over 5 million students were a part of what is now the world’s largest online education event. With students from 240 Countries and Territories around the world competing with each other, the World Education Games are the premier event online to engage kids in learning.
