Fairlawn, Ohio (PRWEB) February 27, 2013
The Montrose Auto Group, together with Hallrich Incorporated dba PIZZA HUT, connected in the summer of 2011 to create opportunities for one another by cross-promoting their brands among the employees of their respective companies.
Hallrich Marketing Director Carol Magazzeni, who additionally serves on a committee for the Taste of the NFL, benefiting the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, saw an opportunity to involve the Montrose team in her fundraising efforts.
“The Montrose Auto Group engages in so much community activity throughout our region, I just knew they would embrace the Foodbank and find a successful way to partner and help our neighbors in need,” stated Magazzeni. “Montrose agreed to offer the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank a two-year lease on a 2012 Ford Focus as a featured raffle item at the Taste of the NFL event.
The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank provides food and other essential items to more than 500 member agencies like food pantries and hot meal sites in eight surrounding counties. The promotion was a success, raising nearly $8,000 for the Foodbank. In an ironic twist of fate the winner of the raffle was none other than Hallrich’s CEO.
“Raising $8,000 for the Foodbank translates to 32,000 meals for the community, and I’m thrilled that we were able to partner with the team from Montrose to make this a reality”, said Magazzeni. “Our CEO continued the spirit of giving by asking his management team to use the “win” as a way to reward one of our company’s top performers. “
The two-year lease was recently presented to Mike Davis, a top producing General Manager at the East Liverpool Pizza Hut location.
“The Montrose Auto Group strives to be a responsible member of the communities we serve”, stated Montrose Community Relations Manager Frank Salamone. “By growing our relationship with Pizza Hut into an opportunity to benefit the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and witness firsthand the powerful impact the Food Bank has on our community, we’re very proud to be a part of that.”
Dan Flowers, president and CEO of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank shared, “Many people in our community are struggling with hunger, and our agencies continue to see new faces reaching out for assistance. We are very grateful to The Montrose Auto Group and Hallrich’s Pizza Hut for this generous donation and for recognizing the need locally.”
Both Salamone and Magazzeni agree that great synergy between the Montrose Auto Group and Hallrich’s Pizza Hut franchises forged an opportunity with a benefit that far surpassed their original vision.
Hallrich Incorporated, owner of 84 area Pizza Hut restaurants, employees over 1900 team members and is proud to have helped launch the careers of thousands of individuals in 19 Northeast Ohio counties.
