Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) February 27, 2013

Habif, Arogeti & Wynne, LLP (HA&W), the largest Georgia-headquartered tax, accounting and business advisory firm, announced today that Angela Dotson has been named a partner at the Firm. Additionally, Angela is the first African American partner of HA&W.

Angela is a partner at the professional services and non-profit industry groups at HA&W. She provides tax compliance and consulting services to corporations, partnerships and individuals. Through the years, Angela has developed an expertise working with growth-oriented businesses and not-for-profit organizations, while her passion lies in working with women-owned companies. Angela is also actively engaged with the Firm’s captive insurance service line.

Business owners realize that accounting and tax consulting is key to the operation and success of their companies when working with Angela. She works with clients to prevent lost opportunities due to lack of planning. Angela thrives on bringing innovative solutions to her clients and provides her clients with high-quality customer service, availability and responsiveness. She understands how to effectively communicate with and lead a team.

Angela was recently named in the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2012 40 Under 40 list, a list that annually recognizes Atlanta’s best and brightest young professionals. Winners were chosen from over 500 nominations based on leadership, professional achievements and community services. Angela’s professional achievements combined with her commitment to the community allowed her to receive this recognition.

Today, Angela serves on the Board for Turning Point, a health care facility for women with breast cancer. Angela became actively involved with the organization four years ago when she herself was undergoing treatments for breast cancer.

Angela’s dedication to the community does not only lie in helping women recovering from breast cancer; it extends to helping at-risk youth through the C5 Youth Foundation Georgia, a college readiness program. Today Angela serves as the chair of the board for the finance committee. She is dedicated to helping students rise above their circumstances to become successful people who can give back to their community.

“Angela is one of the most dedicated people I know, whether it’s to her clients, the Firm or the Atlanta community,” said Richard Kopelman, CEO and managing partner at HA&W. “She takes the time to understand her clients' needs and challenges so that she can offer practical business advice that enables them to be successful.”

Angela earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters of Accounting, with a concentration in taxation, from the University of Georgia.
