Prolific Athletes, located in Carlsbad, California sent two athletes (Matt Scott and Jeff Baca) to this year’s NFL combine in Indianapolis.
Matt Scott, a quarterback from the University of Arizona, set an NFL combine record in the 20-yard shuttle for quarterbacks with 3.99, which put him second in the entire combine to Missouri receiver T.J. Moe. Scott led the quarterbacks in the 3-cone drill with a time of 6.69 and he came in third in the 40-yard dash at 4.69. In the broad jump, Scott tied for second with E.J. Manuel out of Florida State at 9 Feet, 10 inches behind West Virginia's Geno Smith at 10 feet, 4 inches. Finally, Scott tied Landry Jones for the fourth best vertical at 31 inches.
Jeff Baca, an offensive lineman from UCLA, finished among the best in the position at the combine. Baca placed first in the 3-cone drill with a time of 7.26, first in the 20-yard shuttle at 4.44 and he had the fourth fastest 10-yard time of 1.68.
