Brightline Interactive, the leader in gesture and touchscreen digital experiences, is excited to announce sponsorship of Women Thrive Worldwide’s 5th Annual International Women’s Day Event. The event, “Lessons Not Learned: A Crisis in Girls' Education,” will kick off with an invitation-only VIP breakfast on Thursday, February 28th at the Charlie Palmer Restaurant at 101 Constitution Avenue, NW in Washington, DC.

As part of its sponsorship, Brightline has donated a customized Twitterfall that will allow guests of the Women Thrive Worldwide celebration of International Women’s Day to see each other’s thoughts throughout the breakfast meeting. A Twitterbuild is a custom-designed digital application that pulls tweets from Twitter based on a specified hash tag and/or handle. These tweets are featured on a large on-site screen for a few seconds, before breaking apart by letter and transforming to create a specified image for the screen.

The image develops before the spectator’s eyes, as each tweet helps to build part of the image until the full picture is visible. The process repeats for as many images as desired. The official hash tag of the event will be #GlobalEdCrisis.

“By using social media tools like Twitter, Women Thrive Worldwide can engage supporters around the world that are unable to make it to the conference,” began Erik Muendel, CEO and Creative Director of Brightline Interactive. “Tweeters using the hash tag #GlobalEdCrisis will be featured in the Twitterbuild, and can take part in supporting women no matter where they are.”
