- $333 million in charitable assets at year end, an increase of 46%

"Despite uncertainties in the tax climate and in the broader economic environment, we are thrilled that we have set these new records, which demonstrates our donors' commitment to charitable causes and reflects the high levels of satisfaction with their charitable-giving experience at AEF," comments Tom Tobin, President/CEO of AEF. "We are also very proud to have hit a significant milestone: $185 million in charitable grant distributions since our founding in 1993. And what’s more, these grants have benefited more than 10,000 charitable organizations around the country as recommended by our donors from from over 1,600 donor advised funds."
AEF celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2013 as America’s independent donor advised fund program. In addition, AEF is now on the list of the top ten charities in the country, having “earned the most consecutive 4-star ratings demonstrating an ongoing fiscal excellence”, according to Charity Navigator, America’s leading independent charity evaluator. AEF is the highest ranked national sponsor of donor advised funds in the country.
