On February 26, 2013, MyEasySoftware, Inc. launched a Kickstarter campaign for their latest cloud security product, My Easy File Encrypt. The file encrypting software makes it easy for users to secure files on cloud storage services.
As technology advances and it becomes more popular to utilize more than one electronic device, people are looking to cloud services to synchronize both their business and personal files. However, although these files are easily transferable, one must take into consideration just how secure they are. MyEasySoftware has taken this concern into account and developed the new Dropbox and cloud security product, My Easy File Encrypt.
My Easy File Encrypt makes it easy for any user to encrypt files before saving them to cloud-based storage like Dropbox. The user simply downloads the software and chooses the file destination. When ready to encrypt a file, the user drags and drops or uses the context menu. The file is then automatically encrypted prior to being placed in the folder. One can also use the software to decrypt previously encrypted files. My Easy File Encrypt can also be used to encrypt files on portable storage devices such as flash drives and USB drives.
“If people were truly aware of the dangers of storing files in the cloud without encryption, they would jump at the opportunity to easily secure those files,” stated President of MyEasySoftware, Inc., Calvin Chipman.
My Easy File Encrypt subscriptions allow for consumers to use the software to register up to five computers with an unlimited amount of passwords. This product allows any of these five devices to decrypt files that were encrypted on these computers. MyEasySoftware also offers a business subscription version of the software, which allows multiple devices to encrypt and decrypt files.
My Easy File Encrypt is available now for a free download or users can pre-order one of the subscription versions at Kickstarter.
