Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 04, 2013
Business Talent Group, which brings organizations and top-tier independent professionals together for mission-critical strategic and operational projects, is launching a new Chicago office on March 1. Headquartered in Los Angeles, BTG has offices in New York, San Francisco, and Austin. According to Brian Lafer—who will head the new office while continuing to work with clients across the country—the Chicago move is part of the company’s broader efforts to better serve clients across all regions.
“We already have a great suite of clients and talent in the Midwest, and I’m excited about expanding our presence,” Lafer says.
BTG, founded six years ago, is the market leader in helping the world’s best known companies, private equity firms, and non-profits harness the growing number of high-caliber independent professionals—from management consultants (out of firms like McKinsey, Bain and BCG) to interim executives—to find ways of doing important work once performed by traditional consulting firms or permanent employees. BTG grew by nearly 60% last year; its innovative model has recently been recognized by The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, and Harvard Business Review.
BTG’s Chicago office is located at 321 North Clark Street in the vibrant River North district.
Lafer holds a BBA degree from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business, and he was a 4-year walk-on player on the Wolverines football team. Originally from Farmington Hills, Michigan, he worked at the Real Estate Consulting Group at U.S. Equities in Chicago before joining BTG nearly three years ago, and he looks forward to returning to the Midwest.
