Thornton, CO (PRWEB) March 02, 2013

After a long awards dry-spell, Autodesk is again recognizing excellence among its dealer channel, and CAD-1 is again part of the winning circle.  CAD-1 instructor Michael Calkins has been named ATC Instructor of the Year in North America for 2012.

The award is based on student feedback collected by Autodesk on over 2,000 ATC instructors in North America.

Calkins is a registered architect and earned his master’s degree in architecture from the University of Colorado at Denver.  He first used AutoCAD professionally as an intern for a local architectural firm.  In addition to teaching AutoCAD and Revit classes at CAD-1, Calkins has also taught the courses at the college level for the past three years.

According to Jim Sirko, CEO of CAD-1, “Michael’s dedication to the training experience for the student really shows in the classroom.  He and the rest of our acclaimed training staff are, indeed, World Class.”
