On March 2, Mark Neuwirt, producer of the Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo (LICREE), urges local businesses to take part in an annual educational networking event scheduled for March 12.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hilton Long Island, 598 Broad Hollow Rd., Melville, N.Y, and will include a trade floor exhibiting over 80 local businesses connected to the real estate industry.
“It’s the one day a year that Long Island businesses, entrepreneurs and friends can gather to discuss the state of the real estate industry and how we can help each other out,” says Neuwirt. “We designed this expo to provide the information and tools necessary for business to thrive on Long Island – especially in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.”
Neuwirt says Hurricane Sandy really put a damper on Long Island development. It left a lot of damage, he says, but adds that there are new tools available to prevent this level of devastation from happening again. The expo will help shed light on the natural and man-made threats to Long Island life.
“We will hear presentations from professionals on how Sandy impacted the industry and how to improve business growth or cash flow,” says Neuwirt. “You’ll also have the opportunity to peruse the floor and network with other professionals.”
There will be seminars and continuing education classes aimed at helping business owners stay updated on the latest products and services. Some of these include: “Bringing Your Building Into the 21st Century,” “How To Dominate Real Estate Using Social Media,” “The Storm Front,” and “Case Studies In Building Energy Savings.” The expo will also have a discussion panel with industry leaders like Don Monti, CEO of Renaissance Downtowns, Michael Maturo, president of RXR Realty LLC, and Russell Matthews, the executive vice president of the Albanese Organziation.
To register, Neuwirt says to visit LICREE’s Eventbrite page. “Hopefully, you learn some useful information that could help your business thrive,” he comments. “You might find yourself looking at things differently when you leave. We’re excited and we encourage businesses to register.”
