Central Florida Sports Complex, a premier sports center in the central Florida region, has partnered with BeachDig sand volleyball and the Sports and Social Club of Orlando and has expanded it’s facilities to include six beach volleyball courts to be completed by February 28, 2013.
Central Florida Sports Complex is a 12,000 square-foot climate-controlled sports and training facility that includes indoor volleyball courts, outdoor beach volleyball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts and other amenities. It also includes a complete fitness gym for athletes and a concession stand offering healthy food. The sports complex is available for team sports or individual training. The facility is also available to rent for events such as conventions, personal fitness, and various sport functions. The location is convenient for Orlando, Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, Maitland, Winter Springs, Oviedo, Sanford, Apopka, Lake Mary, Heathrow, and Longwood Areas.
The new expansion will complete phase two of the Central Florida Sports Complex. The facility, which opened in August of 2012, will now include an additional six AAU professional beach volleyball courts with lighting, pavilions, restrooms and showers. The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is one of the largest, non-profit, volunteer, sports organizations in the United States. A multi-sport organization, the AAU is dedicated exclusively to the promotion and development of amateur sports and physical fitness programs.
BeachDig, a sand volleyball training program, will be moving its Orlando school and operations to the Central Florida Sports Complex. From beginners, to indoor players, to high level experienced beach players; BeachDig offers coaching on the sand for all ages and skill levels. BeachDig offers camps which are intensive multi-day training events. Camps are held all over the country and can range from beginner, to elite level, and even invitational college recruiting events. Clinics are 1-2 hour lessons that are booked on a per-session basis all year long. Both group and private clinics are offered for all ages. BeachDig also assists with college recruiting and leads the way in connecting elite athletes with college sand volleyball coaches. With the facility expansion the Central Florida Sports Complex will also join forces with the Sports and Social Club of Orlando to offer men’s and women’s as well as co-ed sand volleyball teams. The Orlando Sport and Social Club is the area's largest provider of recreational sports leagues, premier social events and local social networking. With over 15,000 annual participants, the Sport and Social Club has become the place to meet and compete with active young professionals all over the city.
