"Much credit is due to our amazing partners at eMagine. Search the web, I defy you to find a more streamlined, elegant Special Olympics website anywhere," said Chris Richie, Communications Manager for Special Olympics Massachusetts.

Marlborough, Massachusetts and Taunton, Massachusetts (PRWEB) March 04, 2013

Special Olympics Massachusetts and eMagine, a leading B2B Web Design, SEO and Social Media firm, today announced the launch of a new website for the year-round sports training and competition non-profit organization. Being so impressed with the impact and value that Special Olympics Massachusetts brings to so many lives, eMagine is pleased to have donated their services on this project.

Built in 2008, the previous website had become somewhat unruly from both a content management and user experience standpoint. Consisting of over 1,000 pages from previous events, announcements and other articles, the redesign project needed to bring together several disparate repositories of information onto a fresh website design, including implementation of a content management system (CMS).

Audiences for the web site include both internal (board members, staff, athletes, volunteers, coaches) and external (general public for recruitment and public awareness; supporters). The primary goal of the project was to add value to members. As such, any functionality, resources, design or other elements needed to be designed in service of that objective, including:

●    A visual, navigational and messaging refresh
●    Replicating and enhancing all previous website functions
●    Providing an integrated environment for both public and private collaboration
●    Providing a flexible framework for updates and expansions going forward

“Much credit is due to our amazing partners at eMagine, who’ve not only donated their time and money, but who’s staff deserve medals in their own right for their patience, support, and guidance throughout this past year’s development”, said Chris Richie, Communications Manager for Special Olympics Massachusetts. “The form, function and overall feel are incredible. Search the web, I defy you to find a more streamlined, elegant Special Olympics website anywhere. This is a 2013 web experience, and we’ve not even begun to tap into all the functionality it has to provide us in the future!"

Bill Gadless, eMagine’s President, stated: “This was a special project for the eMagine team. The more I learned, the more I wanted my company to play a role in helping to spread the word about this most important organization and the lives they so positively impact. Never have I met a team so passionate about their mission and so caring of their members. And that applies to nobody more than Special Olympics Massachusetts’ own President and CEO, Mary Beth McMahon.

“We’re thrilled to have partnered with eMagine in creating our new website. With eMagine’s expertise, Special Olympics Massachusetts has launched a site that will more efficiently allow us to market ourselves to an external audience and more effectively communicate to our constituent base”, said McMahon.
