Adult and Child Center is proud to announce Stephanie Beasley Yoder has accepted the position Director of Child Services effective March 11, 2013.

Ms. Yoder has an MSW from IU and currently teaches in the MSW program at IUPUI. She began her child welfare career as a Family Case Manager (FCM) with the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) which has shaped her understanding of and empathy for the needs of families and children.

Following four years of service as a Family Case Manager, Ms. Yoder was promoted to a Child Welfare Policy Consultant position at the Indiana DCS where she provided best practice consultation, provided guidance on administrative processes in local DCS offices, and trained regional staff on legislative changes. Following the Policy Consultant position, Ms. Yoder served as a Policy and Program Manager for DCS and as Deputy Director of the Marion County Office of DCS. In these positions Ms. Yoder managed foster care program development, was responsible for oversight of the Indiana Foster Care Parent Training Program, and partnered in community collaborations addressing the needs and vulnerable children. Her most recent position with DCS was as Deputy Director, Field Operations. In this position, she led executive managers and 18 regional managers in developing and implementing State Child Welfare practice reform. She was also responsible for statewide field delivery of child welfare services. More recently, she has operated a consulting practice focusing upon strategic business planning, organizational development, management, capacity building, project development, and executive coaching.

Adult and Child Mental Health Center, a 501©3, has provided decades of quality behavioral health services to residents of Marion and Johnson Counties. Adult and Child has achieved state and national recognition as a leader in the provision of evidence based practices (EBPs) for adults. They provide a full array of mental health and child welfare services to adults and children including a growing therapeutic foster care program serving abused and neglected children.
