CV Surgeon, the CV and career expert, has been researching new ways of interacting with their current customer base and capturing new audiences.
CV Surgeon ( http://cv-surgeon.co.uk/ ), the website that specialises in CV writing advice and CV templates, already has a varied communication channel with its customers. But the team are always looking into ways of improving this as Craig Stovold, Director, explains: “We have a growing number of users on the website that are all interested in creating CV templates and gaining CV and career advice. We already offer this in a variety of ways. There are career articles on the website, we have a You Tube video channel and we also use social media to interact with our users. But we have also been looking into email newsletters as a way of keeping our customers up to date and this is something we want to explore in the future. The newsletters, set to launch later this year, will be aimed at keeping our users up to date with any website developments, career news and we’ll also be sharing the latest advice.”
At present the CV Surgeon team interact with their users in a number of ways. The instant live chat facility on the website, launched a few months ago, enables users to interact with experts at the click of a button. If a user is experiencing technical problems or has a query on their CV they can interact immediately with a member of the team via the instant chat facility. The social media sites also allow users to interact and share comments and advice. The You Tube channel, launched last year, also offers members instant access to advice ranging from how to look for jobs to how to write a cover letter. The career videos have received over 6,000 views to date and the online community is still growing.
The future plans for email newsletters will see the interaction and online community grow more as Stovold continues: “We are always interested in new ways to interact with our customers. We want to continue to provide innovate templates while also providing as much support and employment advice as possible.”
As well as receive advice on a number of career related topics, users can also go to the CV Surgeon website to create a bespoke CV template. The site currently has seven different templates to choose from, all varying in design and layout, but all designed to improve CV writing and job interview chances.
