Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) March 06, 2013

Habersham Funding, LLC, a national financial services firm headquartered in Atlanta, says it will soon begin sharing Investor Tools (IT), a free web-based asset valuation tool.

Habersham Funding provides cash liquidity and scheduled benefit payments to consumers for their unwanted or unaffordable life insurance policies to fund personal needs that may include life and health care expenses.

Beginning May 1, 2013, Habersham will make available at no cost to approved investors, this institutional-quality tool for valuing the alternative asset class of secondary and tertiary market life insurance policies. Secondary market transactions represent the highly regulated purchase of a life policy from its original owner. Tertiary market transactions represent the further transfer of a life policy to an investment source.

IT is powered by Habersham Analytics, the proprietary financial modeling platform utilized by Habersham and its Registered Investment Advisor affiliate, Habersham Capital Management, LLC. Habersham Analytics fuels a suite of unique financial tools for alternative asset valuation, modeling and portfolio management.

“As one of the most-licensed and longest-tenured participants in the secondary and tertiary market for life insurance policies, we have drawn on 23-plus years of industry experience to develop and refine Habersham Analytics,” says M. Bryan Freeman, the company’s founder and president. “IT is the user-friendly, foundational tool in the Habersham Analytics platform.”

With a policy’s optimized premium schedule determined by Habersham or provided by a third party, the user of IT can readily calculate a valuation using multiple pricing options and immediately view resulting displays of statistics based on probabilistic, deterministic, and stochastic methodologies.

The more expanded capabilities of the Habersham Analytics platform use multiple variables for sensitivity analysis related to an insured party, the related policy, and valuation methods. Habersham Analytics also incorporates portfolio aggregation and modeling tools to integrate with its policy valuation tools for acquiring and managing a diversified pool of settled life policies with virtually unlimited options for portfolio and policy level sensitivity reviews.

“For many years, we and others in our industry have relied on one or more third-party vendors for fee-based valuation tools to support the trading activities of our unique alternative asset class,” Freeman says of the public roll-out of IT. “In our experience, few have been able to draw on the depth of practical market knowledge that we have in order to craft a tool that will consistently take you from sound policy valuation to portfolio aggregation and management. We are pleased to share free web-based access to IT with our approved investors as either a primary or a complementing valuation tool.”

“Habersham continues to work diligently to foster standardization in our industry’s underwriting and valuation methods with the sharing of IT being one of many planned steps,” adds Greg Waters, president of Habersham Capital Management. “Many of the important financial solutions that are available to U.S. consumers today required years of structural development, regulation, and standardization. Standardization and transparency in financial markets attract competitive investment capital that provides market liquidity. Market liquidity promotes an appropriate risk-adjusted cost of capital that is a win-win for both consumers and investors.”

Habersham will introduce IT to investors attending the Third Annual Institutional Investor Life Settlement Conference, March 11, at the Harvard Club of New York. IT will be previewed during the International Life Settlement Conference at the Waldorf Hilton in London, April 15-16, and exhibited during the 19th Annual Spring Life Insurance Settlement Association Conference, May 29-31, at The Venetian in Las Vegas.

As a highly regulated underwriter and servicer of secondary and tertiary market life insurance policies, Habersham Funding is engaged in providing sound value and liquidity to U.S. consumers for one of their most valuable financial assets – their life insurance.
