Today (8 March 2013), the Great National Hotels and Resorts Group announced the appointment of Mr. Paul Abson to head-up Great National’s recruitment of additional properties to the group’s portfolio of hotels and resorts throughout the UK.
Widely regarded as an emerging international hotel company, within the UK hotel industry, Great National includes the Great National Hollin Hall in Bollington Cheshire and the Great National Grand Hotel in Swansea.
Great National has successfully grown by consistently increasing rooms revenue for its hotel members whilst cutting costs, this being achieved by providing owners and management teams with:
A graduate from Leeds Metropolitan University with a degree in business management, Paul has a track record of over 14 years in hotel management and consultancy. As an experienced hotel operator, Paul has worked with Choice Hotels International and has operated hotels under such brands as the Venture Hotel Group, Minotel, Your Hotel and, Magnusson Hotels.
Paul has also provided operational support under management contracts to independent hotel owners throughout the UK while most recently as Managing Director of leading hospitality consultancy firm, Hotel GP, Paul has advised and participated in the set-up of a Guernsey-based hotel investment fund for the development of branded hotels within the UK.
