Springfield, Mo. – Dr. Jason Streubel, agricultural specialist for Convoy of Hope, just finished a running campaign through six countries to raise awareness of the international relief organization’s mission to help the less fortunate around the world.
Streubel began his adventure with a marathon in Haiti, then trekked through The Dominican Republic, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and ended his adventure by completing a recent ultra-marathon in Little Rock, Ark.
“Each step I took was to help the poor and hungry,” says Streubel. “Sustainable agriculture is a large component of this effort – one that I hope to bring greater awareness to.”
Streubel has a Ph.D. in soil science and leads Convoy of Hope’s agricultural development initiatives in seven countries where community leaders are taught agricultural techniques that help provide healthy living environments and education.
