'AIRLAN has the rich feature set required for a large network deployment and yet introduced to market at lowest cost points we have ever been able to this far.' - Mark Crabtree Director of Sales, Solectek
San Diego, California (PRWEB) March 07, 2013
Solectek, a leading supplier of broadband wireless data communications systems, announced the availability of AIRLAN-Clarity multipoint subscriber unit. Housed in a compact plastic enclosure, the unit takes advantage of rich features available from Solectek Access product line at lower costs.
The new AIRLAN unit has a small form factor (10 x 4 x 1 inches) and, unlike other low cost subscriber units, has provisions for elevation/tilt control via L-bracket mounts. The second Ethernet port can be used for powering another outdoor device such as a network camera that requires 24V or 48V 802.3af compliant POE, thus greatly simplifying the cabling requirements, thus greatly simplifying the cable to a standard outdoor CAT5 cable run between the radio and the camera.
AIRLAN-Clarity’s target markets are customers that require dense deployments, such as wireless ISPs or surveillance camera networks. In both cases, preserving network capacity to a large number of nodes is critically important. AIRLAN subscriber units run Solectek polling MAC in conjunction with the ACCESS base station. The protocol is especially designed to meet the demands of a large subscriber base or heavy video streaming needs coming from network cameras.
