Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation today announced it has promoted Sarah Peters to the position of Director of Employee Benefits, reporting directly to Vice President of Finance and Controller, Stan Petersen-Gauthier. In her new role, Peters will be responsible for leading the employee benefits team in the development, design and evaluation of benefit options offered to employees at Air Wisconsin, including 401(k) retirement plans, medical, dental, disability and life insurance programs.
“Sarah brings valuable experience to her new position, and has demonstrated strong leadership in all areas of employee benefits with Air Wisconsin. Peters joined Air Wisconsin in 2004 as Benefits Coordinator. She was promoted in 2007 to Benefits and Wellness Coordinator, and again in 2010 to Benefits/Wellness Supervisor. In 2011, she was appointed to her most recent position as Manager of Benefit and Disability Programs where she facilitated Air Wisconsin’s open enrollment program, transition to a new human resources information system, onboarding program, annual plan audits, and improvements to 401(k) retirement plans and disability programs. She was also instrumental in the development of the Air Wisconsin employee wellness program, as well as health risk assessments and coordinated learning events.
Peters earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration with minors in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She also earned certification in wellness program coordination and management through the Chapman Institute.
Air Wisconsin operates as US Airways Express, scheduling nearly 500 departures per day to 70 cities in 26 states and two Canadian provinces. The fleet includes 71 Canadair Regional Jets (CRJ-200). Additionally, Air Wisconsin performs ground-handling services for United Express at United’s Washington Dulles International hub and 22 other cities throughout the country.
