HAUPPAGUE, NY (March 11, 2013) – Throughout March, Teachers Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is helping Long Island’s four-legged friends in need. For $5, members can “adopt” a 5” stuffed owl at our Amityville, Bay Shore, Commack, Farmingville, Holbrook, Riverhead and Shirley branches. Each owl comes with its own adoption certificate. Supplies are limited and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
“The response to our owl adoption program is heartwarming. In February, we ran a small pilot program and our owls sold out in only two days,” said Robert G. Allen, President/CEO. “In addition to our owl adoption, branches are also accepting monetary donations and have collection bins on-hand for any pet supplies people wish to bring in.”
Proceeds from the sale and all money and supplies collected will be divided evenly between Bid-a-Wee in Westhampton and Little Shelter in Huntington. Stop in to show your support for these animal care facilities by adopting an owl.
