"The potential for Canton residents to realize savings through Solarize Connecticut made participating in the pilot program an obvious choice for Canton. We are excited to be a part of the program."

Canton, CT (PRWEB) March 10, 2013
The town of Canton is hosting a Solarize Canton Kick-Off Solar Workshop on March 19th at 7:00 p.m. to learn how this unique program is working to offer residents significantly discounted solar installations that will reduce monthly utility bills.
The town of Canton has been selected through a competitive process to participate in Solarize Connecticut, a State-sponsored program through the Connecticut Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority that combines coordinated town education and outreach efforts with a tiered pricing offer from a pre-selected installer to significantly increase residential solar. The more residents participate in the program, the more the price drops, with all residents receiving the lowest possible price for their installation no matter when they sign up for the program. However, residents must sign a contract by July 12, 2013 to qualify. In Phase 1 of Solarize Connecticut, participating towns more than doubled the amount of solar during the 20-week program than had been purchased over the previous 7 years. Canton is hoping for equally positive results.
Ross Solar Group is the designated and competitively selected solar installer for the Town of Canton, chosen for their quality reputation, customer reviews and, most importantly, competitive tiered pricing.
In addition to learning about the Solarize Connecticut program, the kick-off solar workshop on March 19th will walk homeowners through the basics of solar power, including everything from the technology itself to the various financing options available through Ross Solar Group and CEFIA. Residents interested in learning more about solar technology will find the workshop interesting and informative.
