New York, NY (PRWEB) March 14, 2013
Susan Tardanico, CEO of the Authentic Leadership Alliance and Executive in Residence at the Center for Creative Leadership, will speak at the CEO Club of Boston on March 21.
Entitled “Building Trust Through Communication,” Tardanico’s remarks will delineate the core communication practices that chief executives can employ to establish and build trust among internal and external constituencies.
“With trust in business at near-record lows, the ability to gain and maintain trust is one of the most crucial skills of any leader, especially chief executives,” says Tardanico. “People are bombarded with information twenty-four hours a day, and with the blurring of the lines of media, it’s hard to separate fact from fiction. It has never been a more challenging communication environment for CEOs than what we are facing today.”
Tardanico asserts that effective, authentic communication is fundamental to building trust and credibility. “It’s not just what you say and how you say it, but how you live it,” she emphasizes.
Tardanico works with C-suite executives all over the country, helping them and their teams communicate better and lead more effectively. Prior to founding the Authentic Leadership Alliance (ALA), she spent 23 years in corporate America, most recently serving as Corporate Officer and Vice President of Communications for Textron Inc, a $14 billion multinational corporation. Prior to her corporate career, she was a broadcast reporter and anchor. In addition to her executive roles at ALA and CCL, Tardanico writes for Forbes.com and speaks around the country about leadership, communications, transformation and courageous career management.
