As part of a recent company-wide sales contest, each of LocalEdge’s sixteen sales teams was challenged to “compete” for a charity of their choice, with their winnings to be donated to the charitable organization on behalf of the company. Area-Wide’s Brazos Valley sales team chose to donate to Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity is a non-ecumenical Christian ministry founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. Area-Wide presented this organization with a $2000 check that was then matched by an unnamed sponsor of Habitat for Humanity, bringing the total donation amount to $4000. Nearly two billion people around the world live in slum housing and over 100 million are homeless. Habitat for Humanity works tirelessly to improve these statistics, and Area-Wide is proud to support their endeavors.
