Singapore (PRWEB) March 21, 2013

Office buildings managed by Jones Lang LaSalle and LaSalle Investment Management across Asia Pacific will go dark for an hour Saturday evening in observance of Earth Hour, the annual campaign led by World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to encourage commitment to action on climate change.

At 8:30 p.m. local time, Jones Lang LaSalle and LaSalle Investment Management offices across the region will join with thousands of other buildings in turning off non-emergency lighting for an hour, effectively darkening skylines in observance of energy conservation efforts around the world. The firm’s employees are also being encouraged to support the cause by switching off lights in their respective homes.

"Jones Lang LaSalle is committed to environmental stewardship and Earth Hour is a global initiative that unites our professionals, our clients and the cities where we operate,” said Albert Ovidi, Chief Operating Officer of Jones Lang LaSalle Asia Pacific. “The event is part of a company wide CSR campaign where we have pledged to make our firm and our clients more energy efficient.”

In addition to endorsing the campaign through its offices, Jones Lang LaSalle is partnering with clients in hundreds of cities and towns around the Asia Pacific region to help them show their support. Jones Lang LaSalle manages 1.1 billion square feet of commercial property owned by corporations and investors in the region.
