The cubicle has police tape on it saying "Do Not Enter." That's the cue to kick-off the weekend by doing this special thing called "Goof Off." And Fast Eddie's Billiards has become a goof off zone this Friday, March 22nd.
For the severe geeks asking WTF does that mean? Direct attention to the bible of the internet – Wikipedia:
"Goofing off is a slang term in the United States for engaging in recreation or an idle pastime while obligations of work or society are neglected. Common obligations neglected in the course of goofing off include schoolwork, paid employment, social courtesies and the expectations of relations."
Not too hard, especially when Fast Eddie's Billiards is in charge. Here's what National Goof Off Day is all about:
Shove a couple of colored balls in a pocket.
Eat some stuff that's just wicked fun.
Kill-off a pitcher (With a designated driver!).
Try a drink, mixed with rocket fuel.
Meet a member of the opposing team (Read: Sex) and try to make them giggle.
Have just enough fun to remember the trip on Saturday.
"Fast Eddie's Billards, the proud sponsor of National Goof Off day wants you to goof responsibly," says co-owner Mark Beyer.
Join us starting at 7:00 p.m. when the turtle goofs begin. Plan for everything to go wacky until 2:00 a.m., so save the best for last. It all happens this Friday, March 22nd.
