Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 26, 2013
Littman Bros Lighting is so thrilled to announce that out of all the entries and nominations received, the judges for the 2013 Showroom of the Year award chose them as one of the 10 finalists in the “Revenue $5 Million and Over” category.
This is the fourth annual Showroom of the Year competition hosted by Residential Lighting and the Dallas Market Center and the winners of the competition to honor retail excellence in lighting will be announced at an opening night reception during the June 2013 Dallas International Lighting Market, according to residentiallighting.com.
The competition focuses on a showroom's core philosophy and adaptation of the lighting industry; as the various aspects of the market and industry change, Littman Bros continues to change as well. Littman always keeps the product online on display fresh and up to date and consistently offers customers the newest products from the most well-known brands, adapting to the needs of every customer.
The most noteworthy displays in Littman's showroom are the Tech Lighting lab and the Fine Art Lamps room. Additionally, Tech Lighting lab displays the pendants in a way that emphasizes the truly artistic shapes of their designs. Modeled after the Tech Lighting lab at the Tech Lighting showroom in Dallas, the display imitates a book shelf, painted in a pristine white, with each pendant hung uniformly at the same height; each pendant pops against the white backdrop. It truly exhibits the Tech pendant collections in a striking and picturesque fashion. When conceptualizing the display, Littman wanted to approach the design and overall presence of the product in a simplistic way, a way that would just allow the fixtures to shine on their own.
The other display that is most impressive is the most recent Fine Art Lamps display we designed – it incorporates Fine Art products displayed throughout our entire showroom. One of the top designers at Fine Art spent a week in the Littman Bros showroom remodeling, designing and conceptualizing a truly beautiful presentation that features all of Fine Art’s best sellers.
Laura Van Zeyl, Publisher and Editorial Director of Residential Lighting, said finalists will be featured in the May 2013 issue of Residential Lighting; all finalists “were judged by an esteemed panel of experts,” Zeyl said.
The judges: Mike Anderson, Vice President of Consumer Insights and Communication for the Center for Sales Strategy; Barbara Crowhurst, CEO of Retail Makeover; and Rick Segel, founder and producer of The Retailer’s Advantage.
All finalists in dollar volumes categories for this year’s Showroom of the Year are also eligible for specialty awards like Outstanding Merchandising Display and Exceptional Community Involvement. The dollar volume categories are: Revenue Under $2 Million, Revenue Under $5 Million and Littman's category of Revenue $5 Million and Over.
In a recent Residential Lighting article, Zeyl said this competition is a great opportunity for some well-earned industry acknowledgement.
“Lighting showrooms are doing more than ever before to innovate and educate,” Zeyl said. “We’re proud to partner with the Dallas Market Center once again on a program that recognizes retailers at the top of their game.”
Benson Littman, founder and owner of Littman Bros Lighting, is honored to be a contender in this category.
“I’m excited for everyone who is a part of the family at Littman Bros,” Littman said. “Everyone has worked so hard, they should be very proud of themselves.”
Littman Bros is proud to be recognized and chosen as one of the finalists among all the other talented and successful showrooms from all over the U.S. and definitely admires every one of the applicants who entered the competition; we’ve always been so happy to be working and thriving within such a pioneering and inventive industry.
