Jeffersonville, IN (PRWEB) March 20, 2013
Tony Schy, Managing Director of Velocity Indiana, an Entrepreneur Center focused on developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem through education and programming initiatives, announced today that an Open House will be held April 4th, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, at 400 Missouri Avenue in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
The open house will allow those interested to gather more information about Velocity Indiana and the business accelerator program as well as check out the location and its innovative workspace.
The facility is in Water Tower Square at the foot of the Clark Memorial Bridge. The building was originally the passenger car finishing facility for The Ohio Falls Car and Locomotive Company, a company founded prior to the Civil War. The facility has been restored, but still maintains much of its original character. It offers easy access to both Southern Indiana and Louisville, as well as to restaurants and other amenities in the immediate area.
“The space is tailored made for us”, said Schy. “In addition to having plenty of space for the entrepreneurs in our accelerator program, they will also have access to meeting rooms for brain storming sessions or when meeting with their mentors.” “Participants will also have access to a training and exercise center within the complex”, stated Schy.
The facility will provide over 4,000 square feet for the program, according to Schy and offers additional common areas that the business accelerator participants can enjoy during the program.
Applications for the accelerator program are currently being accepted and the due date for submission is April 14, 2013. Selected companies will be notified by the end of April.
