The District Accountability Committee (DAC) for the Douglas County School District announced today that it will host an evening with Senator Mike Johnston on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Douglas County High School. The public is invited to attend the event which will be held in the school auditorium located at 2842 Front Street in Castle Rock, Colorado from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Senator Johnston is a co-sponsor of the School Finance Bill SB 13-213, a bill to create a new school finance act for which implementation is conditional upon passage of a statewide ballot measure to increase state revenues for funding public education.
According to the State filing, School Finance Bill SB 13-213 addresses reforms for:

About the Douglas County District Accountability Committee
The DAC reviews and makes recommendations to the Board of Education concerning the School Accountability Committee (SAC) plans to adopt the School Improvement Plan (SIP) with goals and objectives for the improvement of education in the school. The DAC, following consultation with the SAC, makes recommendations to the Board of Education relative to the prioritization of expenditures of School District funds. Evening monthly meetings of the DAC are held the second Tuesday, commencing in July.
