Christians for Biblical Equality (CBE) is promoting community prayer walks in honor of Women’s History Month on March 28, 2013. These prayer walks are held on March 28 in honor of Galatians 3:28, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
CBE is asking for groups and individuals to join them on March 28 in standing together for females who are denied equality with men in the church. As they walk, they will pray for the church to embrace the gifts of both women and men, and for healing for females who are suffering from abusive situations. CBE asks for prayer at women’s shelters, churches, schools, or other places within their communities in which women are being restored, or in places where they are still denied an equal place of dignity and value beside men. They also ask for prayer over female leaders and their male supporters as they face many obstacles and challenges.
CBE staff will host a local prayer walk from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28. Those who wish to join should meet at the CBE national headquarters at 122 W Franklin Avenue, Suite 218, Minneapolis, MN. Anyone interested in leading a group or organizing an event is encouraged to contact CBE headquarters.
In its effort to advance a biblical foundation for gift-based rather than gender-based ministry and service, CBE sponsors annual conferences, facilitates local chapters, hosts an online book service, and publishes two award-winning journals.
