Market4Demand, Inc. (http://www.market4demand.com), a Silicon Valley technology, life sciences and educational marketing consulting firm, announced today that the company has named Simon Berman to serve on its Advisory Board. The Advisory Board, launched in November of 2008, consists of respected and successful Silicon Valley professionals committed to helping Market4Demand meet its goals for further contribution to the resources available to entrepreneurs and executives. Simon Berman joins existing distinguished Advisory Board members, Chris Gill, current CEO at SVForum and former president and CEO of SVASE who has co-founded 8 companies, with 6 achieving profitable liquidity events; Brian Reaves, vice president of Service Delivery for SAP America; Lucie Newcomb, Global Strategist and CEO, NewComm Global Group; and Dr. Stephen McElfresh, principal and founder at HR Futures who has served as former CEO of Saratoga Institute and as chief HR officer for SRI International, Exponent and Friden Alcatel.

Simon Berman, an active enterprise blogger (http://thinkmobile.appcelerator.com/blog/?Author=Simon+Berman, http://blog.mudynamics.com/author/sberman), is passionate about bringing new products to market and developing and growing businesses to achieve market dominance. Mr. Berman brings over 16 years of enterprise product marketing/management experience from application, security and network testing to emergency mass notification and mobile application lifecycle management.

"Market4Demand has distinguished itself as a thought-leader in Silicon Valley for more than 12 years, not only through the commitment of the company’s CEO, Sarah Autrand, to educate and serve entrepreneurs as an interim marketing executive, but also with its Marketing Educational Series for Entrepreneurs (MESE) workshops," said Simon Berman, products executive. “Providing up-to-date and relevant insight on the product challenges high-tech entrepreneurs are facing today is critical. Their challenges cover wide-ranging areas, such as user experience, UI design, product positioning, pricing models, competitive analysis, as well as analyst and social media communications strategies.”

Mr. Berman currently serves as senior director of product marketing at Appcelerator, the mobile development platform of choice for thousands of enterprises as they become mobile-first organizations. Prior to that, he was vice president of products at Mu Dynamics, (acquired by Spirent Communications), where he re-positioned the company around next-generation app-awareness and delivered the first “consumerized” network testing solution with an integrated cloud-based app store. He previously spent two years with emergency notification vendor AtHoc as vice president of product marketing. Prior to AtHoc, he spent more than 12 years at Mercury Interactive (acquired by Hewlett-Packard), as senior director of products, where he helped build the company’s load and performance testing business to more than 70% market share, with annual revenues exceeding $250M. Mr. Berman also spent 3 years as a software engineer at Radcom developing networking test equipment. He earned his B.Eng. in aeronautical engineering from Imperial College, London and his M.S. in computer science from University College London.

The Market4Demand Advisory Board members all bring experience and unique insights to business for both Market4Demand and its entrepreneurial and executive Silicon Valley high-tech, life sciences and educational clientele. Together, the Advisory Board members will help Market4Demand expand and improve its marketing service offerings designed for entrepreneurs and CEOs in startup and midrange enterprises as well as leaders of entrepreneurial departments within large organizations.

"The successful years of product marketing/management and executive experience that Mr. Berman brings will be fundamental as Market4Demand continues to serve Silicon Valley entrepreneurial customers, many of whom have had successful exit strategies through acquisition," said Sarah Autrand, founder and CEO of Market4Demand, Inc. "Mr. Berman will be a tremendous asset to Market4Demand and our executive customers as they navigate the product challenges required to build and market mobile, security, testing, and cloud-based applications, grow their company’s revenues and achieve market dominance."
