New version dramatically increases performance and throughput

Ike Kavas, Ephesoft CTO and founder said "At 3-6X times the throughput of the standard product, customers can now process high volumes in hours. It's a big step forward for enterprise customers."

Ephesoft Inc., the leader in providing advanced cloud-ready capture solutions, announced today that a new High Performance (H.P.) version of Ephesoft Enterprise is now available for immediate sale. This version is in response to customers who need to process high volumes of documents in a short timeframe to meet strict Service Level Agreements for their customers. This could also be called ‘burst mode processing’ and occurs when tens of thousands of documents must be processed in hours in order to start critical internal business processes.

The H.P. version is engineered to take advantage of new internal code to streamline processing. Benchmark tests have shown performance increases of 3-6 times the throughput of our standard product. Additionally, up to 8 cores can be dedicated to the OCR tasks in a 16 core PC which leaves the remaining cores to do the internal classification, separation and extraction functions within Ephesoft.

Ike Kavas, Ephesoft founder and CTO, says “Ephesoft was built to handle high image volumes but spread more evenly throughout a 24 hour timeframe. We always knew we would build a high performance version but by listening to our customers, we learned how critical this was in some accounts. It also became an important factor in many others. So we re-prioritized this and we’re pleased with the result and feel our customers will be as well.”
