HookLogic, the leader in performance marketing to online shoppers, today announced the appointment of Kimberly Bambach as Chief Financial Officer. With more than 20 years of media, ecommerce, and technology startup experience, Bambach will support HookLogic’s aggressive growth, including the recent launch of the Retail Search Exchange, a cost-per-click, bid auction marketplace which empowers advertisers to win top of sort search placement across a network of retailers.
Bambach brings a media and ecommerce pedigree to HookLogic by way of online jewelry retailer Ice.com. Earlier in her career she handled strategic planning at Comedy Central, before a 10 year stint at United Media, a wholly owned subsidiary of E.W. Scripps, where she served several financial and operational roles spanning Corporate Strategic Planning, Controllership, Legal/Business Affairs, and IT/Operations infrastructure.
Bambach set her sights on the startup world as a CFO for Vindigo, Inc. a mobile application company, XpresSpa a Spa/Retail start-up, and Jingle Networks. As CFO of Jingle Networks, she was instrumental in the sale $62 million sale to Marchex, a call-based ad network that spans traditional media, online, and mobile.
Bambach joins the Bain Capital Ventures-backed company on the heels of its successful launch of the Retail Search Exchange. The network introduced the baby and toy category in January with recent additions of BabyAge.com, Rakuten.com Shopping, and the largest baby and toy retailer online. Consumer electronics and home categories are slated to open in the second quarter of the year.
“Hooklogic has already established itself as leader in ecommerce media with their ecommerce display network,” said Bambach. “And, with the launch of Retail Search Exchange, HookLogic’s growth will gather even more velocity in 2013. I’m excited to be part of the team that’s making it happen.”
