Making Materials Flow

The Making Materials Flow Workshop is based on the popular workbook on lean material handling.

The lean management workshops address three challenges in building a lean enterprise: applying lean concepts in core processes, developing people as problem solvers, and creating management systems to support lean value streams.

The nonprofit Lean Enterprise Institute today opened registration on 19 lean management workshops that address key challenges in building a complete lean enterprise: applying lean concepts in core processes, developing people as problem solvers, and creating management systems to support lean value streams.

The workshops will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, Chicago,1800 East Golf Road, Schaumburg, Illinois. The schedule is:

  •     Management Standard Work (gemba-based)
  •     Daily Kaizen: The foundation for the culture of continuous improvement (gemba-based), 2 days
  •     Improving Operations in High Mix, Low Volume Organizations (gemba-based), 2 days
  •     Improvement Kata/Coaching Kata, 3 days
  •     Key Concepts of Lean, 2 days
  •     Value Stream Mapping for the Office and Service
