La Peer Health Systems recently contributed $300 to Our House’s 2013 Run for Hope taking place on Sunday, April 28, 2013. Known for their support of humanitarian efforts, this is the 4th consecutive year that La Peer has made a donation to support such a worthy cause – grief support for those who have lost loved ones. With their support, the Los Angeles based surgical center will also be named as a Route Sponsor during the event.
“We at La Peer salute Our House for their work in providing the community with a sense of hope, place of sharing and a commitment to honoring the lives of their loved ones,” states Dr. Zadeh, a board member of Our House as well as a Los Angeles otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat specialist) at La Peer. “At one of the hardest times in their lives, they have Our House to help them grieve and heal.
Our House is a non-profit grief-counseling center that provides an incredible service to the community including grief support services, education, resources and hope. For over 15 years, Our House has served grieving children, teens and adults. The 19th annual Run for Hope is a day dedicated to celebrating and honoring the memory of those who have died. This event was created with the mission to 1) provide the community with a sense of hope, connection, and honor, and 2) to offer a day where people can share their grief, loss, and love.
“La Peer will continue to support this organization and the important service they provide the community,” said Dr. Babak Larian, another otolaryngologist at La Peer. “With our connection with Our House spanning 4 years, we are honored to be a part of their Run for Hope event.”
