Organizers of the newly formed Lyoness Running Club announced today that the group will begin training for the 2013 Miami Mercedes Benz Corporate Run held every year at Bayfront Park, Miami. “The goal of the running club is to encourage a healthy lifestyle and work-life balance,” stated Joaquin Zeledon, Managing Director of Lyoness Management Americas. “Lyoness employees love working and living in Miami and the running club allows us to take advantage of the beautiful ocean views on Brickell.”
Lyoness America CEO, Mario Hoffmann, is an avid runner and lover of all things healthy. He says, “The idea for the running club was presented to me by one of our employees. I immediately thought we should get special Lyoness shirts made and make our training a team effort. Running is great for team building and contributes to the foundation of a healthy company.”
Runners and walkers of all ability levels are invited and encouraged to run with the Lyoness Running Club. “The running club meets on Monday and Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. in front of our building at 1450 Brickell Avenue, Miami, FL. We run two laps around Brickell Key on Mondays and also complete ten (10) push ups after each lap,” says Myrna Y. Vaca, Director of Marketing and Communications and leader of the running club.
“As part of our work-life balance efforts, the Lyoness running club also encourages employees to leave work on time and enjoy exercise outdoors. The ability for us to run together promotes happy and healthy employees which help equates to the success of our company,” says CEO Mario Hoffmann.
Following the conclusion of the Miami Mercedes Benz Corporate Run, employees are invited to make personal fitness goals towards preparation for the next run to be held in 2014. “Together we are strong and together we can help each other achieve our greatest potential,” says Myrna Y. Vaca.
