Power4Patriots Recommends that Homeowners Get off Electrical Grid Following Another Report of Grid’s Vulnerability

In late 2012, a declassified federal study reported by USA Today called the U.S. power grid “vulnerable” to a terrorist attack, and now a Wall Street Journal blog states that the grid is “very easy” to hack. In response, Power4Patriots suggests that homeowners protect themselves from power outages by getting off the grid and using solar and wind energy.

The Power4Patriots system is an environmentally friendly way to cut energy costs by as much as 75 percent while making a home, cabin or RV self-sufficient.

Countless millions of American homeowners have experienced weather-related power outages through the years, but extreme weather is not the only thing that can take the grid down.

According to a recent Wall Street Journal blog, hacking the U.S. electrical grid is “very easy.” It states that flaws in security processes are making electric utilities “vulnerable to cyber attacks.” It further states that systems used to control industrial equipment such as turbines and other power-generation gear are supposed to be offline, “but they’re often unwittingly connected to the Internet and exposed to cyber weapons.”

Previously, a declassified federal study reported by USA Today and other media revealed that the grid is vulnerable to a terrorist attack. Becoming independent of an old, unreliable power grid is possible, according to Power4Patriots, if homeowners start generating their own solar and wind power.

The Power4Patriots system is an environmentally friendly way to cut energy costs by as much as 75 percent while making a home, cabin or RV self-sufficient. It includes six videos demonstrating how to build a solar panel, including choosing the right materials, finding the right site for the system and avoiding costly mistakes; 10 Frequently Asked Questions videos; and two instruction manuals with step-by-step, illustrated directions. It also includes four videos and two instruction manuals detailing how to build a wind turbine.

Check out this video that reveals what many people think is the best reason to install solar panels and wind turbines – peace of mind.
