Kartchner cautions both agents and consumers in the USA and Canada to be wary of Mexico insurers who do not carry at least an A- rating. "Most consumers would never buy insurance in the USA or Canada from unrated or less than A- rated insurers, so why in the world would they do so in Mexico?"
