NetBoss Technologies, Inc. (NTI), an established supplier of network management and service assurance solutions to network operators around the world, has teamed with Asentria to develop a SiteBoss 550 (S550) interface to NetBoss for enhanced network monitoring that includes remote functionality.
NetBoss customers use the Asentria S550 to monitor sensors that relay information about contact closures and analog values. These include door open or closed status, battery power, and temperature. By integrating Asentria’s system with the NetBoss NMS the entire network status is available in one view. Combined with the capability to remotely set contact closures, costs are reduced as unstaffed locations can be managed without the need to send a technician to the site.
Together with Asentria, NTI designed and developed a solution to monitor active communications networks for several customers. This solution was installed in less than one month and is currently integrated and available with NetBoss Technologies NMS Service Assurance Platform.
“Our partnership with Asentria to collect and evaluate environmental alarms is part of our ongoing strategy to deliver best of breed solutions for our customers,” said Jim Odom, NTI’s president and CEO. “By working together, NTI and Asentria are leading a trend in network management to correlate equipment and environmental information on a single view.”
“Our ability to fast-track development in response to the needs of our customers exemplifies the capabilities and flexibility inherent in our products”, said Tim Stoner, Asentria’s president and CEO. “Together Asentria and NTI are changing the way our customers view their communications systems.”
