Dr. Vonda Wright, MD, a leading orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, is kicking off the spring running season on the corner of Walnut St. and South Aiken, from 8am to 9am, April 6, 2013. This street-wide event will rock the block with a bandstand, music, and Dr. Wright's one-of-a-kind dynamic warm up routine. Runner's will be pumped up and inspired, and ready to head off for a run with the Steel City Road Runners.

Dr. Wright's lively and engaging approach to active living is inspiring. Seasoned athletes who attend the Warmup On Walnut will learn new programs they can do at home. New or younger runners will find it fun and easy to do.

Dr. Wright's “Total Body Cross Training Program” (TBCXT) for runners, is the official training program for the Pittsburgh Marathon, sponsored by Dick's Sporting Goods. Her forthcoming launch of UmuvU (You Move You) is a complete mobility program for all ages, set to include a wealth of resources, a virtual community for education and support, and a UmuvU mobile app. Dr. Wright's passion for healthy living is simply contagious.
