New York, New York (PRWEB) March 30, 2013
Officials with The Creativity Workshop, an organization that’s dedicated to teaching individuals and groups about creative processes, announced today that it has reached a new milestone of 20 years of service.
“We started back in 1993 and 2013 makes it 20 years for us,” said Ceci Glusman, spokesperson for The Creativity Workshop. “We launch workshops every few months, so it’s just a great feeling to reach this milestone. We’ve been tremendously fortunate to be able to put on these workshops for two decades.”
The Creativity Workshop, according to Glusman, helps people jumpstart their creative abilities by exploring how to stimulate the imagination, gain inspiration from unexpected sources, and overcome obstacles such as self-criticism, writer’s block, and the fear of making mistakes.
“Many past participants of our workshops are renowned in their fields,” Glusman pointed out, before adding, “We have a past participant who won an Oscar, as well as CEOs, film directors, marketing executives, scientists, professors, and more.”
The workshop spokesperson went on to note that many participants take the workshop several times due to the positive impact it has on their creativity.
“Because creativity is not only vital to success in all types of professions but also helps individuals feel happier and more fulfilled, the creativity training we provide is geared toward both personal and professional development,” Glusman said.
Xavier Cifre, President, Productora Nacional de Teatro in San Juan, Puerto Rico, described his experience at The Creativity Workshop as life changing and added that he recommends it to not only creative individuals, but to people from all walks of life.
“The Creativity Workshop helped our professional actors and writers expand their creativity from a new and original perspective in a very nurturing atmosphere,” Cifre recalled.
But he’s not the only one who expressed a positive experience. Barbara Bazaldua, Director of Editorial, Disney Consumer Products in Anaheim, California, said the workshop boosted her confidence, which in turn, resulted in dramatic improvements in her craft.
“Too often in the workplace, a fear of being judged, of failure, or of appearing foolish stifles our most creative thinking,” Bazaldua said. “The Creativity Workshop showed me how to examine, and then overcome my personal insecurities. Now I am contributing with more freedom, boldness, and confidence than ever before.”
