...despite Hollywood-style revolving-door relationships that we might see or hear of around us, lasting marriages could become a reality for most couples.

"Let's Fall in Love" is the title of the first-ever made documentary about love. Its main star, Matchmaker Hellen Chen, with her daring and unorthodox approaches about relationships, became an instant hit with audiences when the film was shown at film festivals around the world.
The documentary was shown in Beijing universities recently and audiences packed the auditoriums. Unusual for documentaries showings, audiences even wrote personal notes to the director and matchmaker afterwards - sharing their own love stories.
Director Wuna Wu has heard about Chen's reputation of helping tough luck cases in relationships and thus decided to follow Chen with a camera. This filming took three years to complete.
"Ms Chen's tenacity in making marriage accessible to the discouraged is very impressive." said Director Wu, who was in a relationship mess herself when she filmed Chen and now is a wife and a happy mother, thanks to the efforts of the maverick matchmaker.
Cecilia, a successful executive whom Matchmaker Chen counseled for 8 years and who was also one of the stories told in the documentary, said, "I was fighting with Chen on this subject most of the time. She did not give up. And I am so happy that she did not give up on me because today, I am in a happy relationship with my husband."
Chen's book "The Matchmaker of the Century" that highlighted her real-life journeys with men and women whom she helped, became the Number One bestseller in relationship books at Barnes and Noble.
Never thinking that her work of helping men and women in affairs of the heart would be taken to the big screen, Chen said, "Many people have walked up to me and told me how my messages about relationships have woken them up and inspired them to take the right steps. I am happy to see that my message resonates so well with audiences worldwide!"
"Despite Hollywood-style revolving-door relationships that we might see or hear of around us, this documentary has shown that real lasting marriages could become a reality for most couples." Chen concluded.
Let's Fall in Love will be shown at the Oakland International Film Festival on April 5th. Ticket information can be found on the official film festival site.
