With The Wave™ Pulse Oximeter, we’ve integrated industry-leading diagnostic technology with a slim-fitting and ultra-durable design that is water-resistant and extremely user friendly.
Baltimore, Maryland (PRWEB) April 02, 2013
Hopkins Medical Products introduces The Wave™ fingertip pulse oximeter with perfusion index trend, the latest addition to the company’s growing line of innovative diagnostic solutions. The Wave™ is unique in pulse oximetry because of its slim, comfortable fit and water-resistance. An easy-to-read 2-color OLED screen rotates through four views, depending on the position of the patient or caregiver. A perfusion index trend alerts the healthcare professional to irregular heartbeat and ensures proper placement of the oximeter and sufficient blood flow at the selected point of measurement. A preset alarm ensures that immediate notification is never missed when desaturation events occur.
“Hopkins has been providing the highest quality clinical pulse oximeters for years and we’ve incorporated the best features of each into our Hopkins brand pulse oximeters,” said C. Louis Klug III, Vice President & General Manager. “With The Wave™ Pulse Oximeter, we’ve integrated industry-leading diagnostic technology with a slim-fitting and ultra-durable design that is water-resistant and extremely user friendly.”
The Wave™ joins a growing selection of pulse oximeters from Hopkins, including the two-in-one Newborn and Mom Pulse Ox Kit, and several fingertip pulse oximeters for adults and children. Like all Hopkins pulse oximeters, The Wave is BPA- and DEHP-free and meets ISO Standards 9919:2005 (2009) and IEC 60601-1, which are recognized by the FDA. Each unit also carries a 3 Year Hopkins Warranty.
Hopkins now includes fingertip pulse oximeters in its industry-leading line of Single Patient Diagnostic Kits, which enables caregivers to accurately monitor pulse and Sp02 levels in isolation environments. Hopkins continues to advocate for affordable access to quality pulse oximetry devices in accordance with recently published directives from the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
