The UNOS organization provides critical support to healthcare professionals throughout the nation. LifeWings will be participating and assisting them with ways to provide higher quality and safer care to their patients.
Collierville, Tennessee (PRWEB) April 15, 2013
LifeWings Senior Vice President, Korky von Kessel, will be speaking about patient safety at the UNOS' 21st Annual Transplant Management Forum on April 18th at The Roosevelt in New Orleans. United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) is the private, non-profit organization that manages the nation's organ transplant system under contract with the federal government. Transplant administrators from across the country attend the UNOS Transplant Management Forum year after year for its educational sessions and networking opportunities. And while many of the sessions are geared to transplant administrators, it's also an excellent opportunity for transplant professionals like clinical and financial coordinators, social workers, and physicians and surgeons to enhance their understanding of how a program operates.
Korky von Kessel is a retired Colonel and former Air Force Command Pilot with over 25 years of experience in aviation. A TeamSTEPPSTM Master Trainer and dedicated facilitator with a vast amount of experience in CRM-based patient safety programs, Mr. von Kessel has provided program implementation for several clients including Vanderbilt University Medical Center, University of New Mexico Hospitals, Oakwood Healthcare Systems, Miami Children’s Hospital, Vassar Brothers, and University of Texas Medical Branch.
Mr. von Kessel graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He also has a Master of Business Administration from Embry Riddle University.
