“We know how many professional hours recruiters spend on LinkedIn and email, and developed the Gild Browser Extension to improve candidate search and outreach efficiency,” said Sheeroy Desai, CEO and co-founder, Gild.

SAN FRANCISCO, California (PRWEB) April 02, 2013

Gild, which brings meritocracy to tech hiring through innovative recruiting technologies, continued its momentum today with the introduction of the new Gild Browser Extension to allow recruiters to view a candidate’s Gild Score while on LinkedIn or Gmail. The new Gild Browser Extension displays developers’ Gild Score alongside their LinkedIn profile or Google email (Gmail), so that recruiters have a more complete view – within a single interface – of a candidate’s skills, experience and contact information.

The new tool provides recruiters with a seamless way to manage their workflow by removing the inefficiency of toggling back and forth between LinkedIn or Gmail and Gild Source.

“We are always looking for new ways to streamline the recruiting process,” said Sheeroy Desai, CEO and co-founder, Gild. “Gild’s Browser Extension is another step towards achieving this goal.”

The new Gild Browser Extension will display Gild Source profile snapshots as part of candidates’ LinkedIn page, complete with key prospect information including contact details and their Gild Score. Within Gmail, the new Browser Extension matches profiles with email addresses, to display an abbreviated Gild Source profile that recruiters can click on to be redirected to a candidate’s full Gild Source profile.

“Gild’s new Browser Extension makes my day easier and saves me time. I no longer have the hassle of toggling back and forth between LinkedIn and Gild Source to check prospects’ Gild Scores in order to find out how good they are,” said OnLive Technical Recruiter Christopher Kutsuris. “With the Gild Browser Extension I now have all of a prospect’s key Gild Source information on a single screen, right in front of me – whether I’m on LinkedIn browsing profiles or emailing a candidate using Gmail. It’s a great time saver.“

“We know how many professional hours recruiters spend on LinkedIn and email, and developed the Gild Browser Extension to improve candidate search and outreach efficiency,” added Desai. “Not only can recruiters better keep track of prospects, but by combining all of this information into a single page they will have candidate photos, Gild Scores, contact information and general profile data at their fingertips.”

Gild’s Browser Extension is available as of April 2, 2013.

“I spend a great deal of time on LinkedIn and email, and so the Gild Browser Extension has significantly improved my overall recruiting efficiency,” said Kristin Cherico, IT Recruiter at American Eagle Outfitters. “Seeing the Gild Score alongside a prospect’s LinkedIn profile or email prequalifies candidates for me on a level I was only able to do by talking to them in the past. Having Gild Source present in my regular workflow allows me to identify the best talent by focusing and narrowing my search, saving me time and streamlining my entire process.”

Gild Source, Gild’s flagship recruiting platform, is powered by proprietary technology that scours the web for information on developers, including their public code and contributions to developer forums, and then utilizes patent-pending algorithms to score the skills of the millions of developers it finds. This lets companies move past the noise in today’s recruiting arenas and hire based on merit alone--finding developers who have proven, verified skills regardless of SEO résumé keywords or social connections.

Gild has seen its user base increase by more than 900% since its launch in June 2012 and has seen similarly strong sales growth. Recruiting solutions by Gild – specifically Gild Source – are now used by over 65 enterprise companies, such as Rackspace, Red Hat, EMC, and American Eagle Outfitters.
